The Land Rover Defender 110 wears a five-star ANCAP safety rating based on tests conducted in 2020 by Euro NCAP. The Defender range received scores of 85 per cent for adult occupant protection, 88 per cent for child occupant protection, 71 per cent for vulnerable road user protection, and 76 per cent for safety assist.
In a survey, the Land Rover Defender got the worst score possible. Most owners reported that the three-row SUV needed repairs within the first three years. Most of these repairs also took more than five days to complete. The most common problems owners report are leaking rainwater seals, key fob or locking malfunctions, and engine failures.
