The first time, I was able to find the pin, re-insert it, and use some tape to keep it in place. The second time, many months later, the pin came out without my knowledge and couldn't find it.

so does other fob work? 1: check all fuses. both boxes 2: use only the key fob, no other keys on ring, for the test. 3: use the 2nd fob same way , now. with other key far away. 4: make sure battery voltage is 12.6vdc, 10.7v the IMMO goes belly up. (any $10 voltmeter , works) 5: have only 1 fob (transponder-key) near the ignition.

Door locks won't lock, Found solution. I have a 2013 Kia Soul + that I bought new in 2012. It has been a great vehicle. A month ago my door locks wouldn't lock. Had my local Kia dealer run a diagnostics test which by the way they have done all the service since new. I was told I needed a Drivers side Central Locking Switch/Actuator.
