I have Windows 10 and Bad Company 2 runs fine for me. But i've experienced two seperate times where the game froze and while i could still ctrl + alt + del and move the cursor, i couldn't shut down BC 2 now matter what i tried. The first time it was solved by spamming all different kind of shutdown keybinds, for a decent amount of time.
The current AIs that DICE has have a life expectancy of a few seconds. They are, in fact, less intelligent than they were in BF2. BF2 AIs had a degree of autonomy in their behavior, while all post BC2 AIs are very strictly scripted to havok meshes and apparent threat levels.
The bots are over powered and can 360 no scope you because 5 seconds ago you sprinted instead of crawled. If the bots are remotely competent while not cheating and having ESP then it isn't bad. And even if they are stupid it's better than having 0 people because as long as the bots get to a flag it's helping while the match fills up
To whoever at dice thought it was a good idea to put bots in the game. You are a genius, I have been wanting bots in battlefield since bad company stopped them, I love being able to play solo matches with bots, destroy the other team and getting better with vehicles. It might be a little controversial to say this, but I just love it :DDD.

In Battlefield 3 however, which takes place in 2014, no such "Russo-American War" is ever mentioned, neither in the Single-, Multiplayer nor Co-Op missions. The same applies to Battlefield 4, which takes place in 2020. So does that mean that the Bad Company games take place after Battlefield 3+4 or in an "alternate timeline" altogether?
